Since auxr_dev has not yet been allocated\non this failure path, the dereference results in a NULL pointer exception\n\nRetrieve the parent bnge_dev from the auxiliary device's parent instead of\nauxr_dev, and free auxr_dev only when it was successfully allocated. This\nallows the release callback to correctly clean up partially initialized\nauxiliary devices.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1cb4298810e27e037d3ca07286ecbb97e89ba58d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/83ef2f3cab7fe6dd9155cd598dc64be524d963a9"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-74706","score":0.00198,"percentile":0.09435,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
