When header->size is less than sizeof(cmd->body) the\nunsigned subtraction wraps to nearly 4 GiB, producing a huge maxnum.\nAny user-controlled cmd->body.numVertexDecls then passes the bound and\nthe loop dereferences decl[i] far past the end of the kernel command\nbounce buffer, producing an out-of-bounds read of kernel memory.\n\nReject undersized headers up front.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/112c6ff29a56f3a22db4d5af869697aa07035ad6","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2666cddf0dd218aa9bd1f99db688d1b532eac21a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/85891d174707d8bddcec7a888fb4e1d17def34f3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b89ca4bba820f79dde52af15ee139fe6e8bbc314","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/bef30317fcb4c838a37bceb2fc76256eb6b975c1"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:10.689564601+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-74444","score":0.00129,"percentile":0.02547,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
