By supplying a maliciously crafted fileName parameter during a file upload operation, an attacker can bypass intended storage boundaries and write arbitrary files to any location on the host filesystem accessible by the Java process. This can lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE) and complete system compromise.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://gitlab.eclipse.org/security/cve-assignment/-/issues/102","https://gitlab.eclipse.org/security/vulnerability-reports/-/issues/423","https://gitlab.eclipse.org/security/vulnerability-reports/-/issues/423"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T19:31:02.781428341+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-7411","score":0.03678,"percentile":0.89594,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-8gpm-h2mh-36qc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-8gpm-h2mh-36qc","summary":"Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK vulnerable to Path Traversal","modified":"2026-05-11T16:41:32.774678Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.eclipse.basyx:basyx.sdk","purl":"pkg:maven/org.eclipse.basyx/basyx.sdk","ranges":["<2.0.0-milestone-10"],"fixed":["2.0.0-milestone-10"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
