{"cve":"CVE-2026-72830","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-14T12:16:46.277","modified":"2026-08-31T20:38:54.340","status":"Deferred","description":"Grav API plugin versions before 1.0.13 fail to enforce API key scope caps in ConfigController super-scope gates, allowing scoped keys to write scheduler configuration. The scope cap is applied only inside requirePermission(), while the scheduler and backups gates use a bare isSuperAdmin() check that never consults api_key_scopes. An attacker holding an API key scoped to api.config.write that was minted on a super account can therefore inject arbitrary commands into scheduler.custom_jobs, which Job::run() passes to a Symfony Process, achieving operating system command execution as the web server user.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-269"],"references":["https://github.com/getgrav/grav/security/advisories/GHSA-2x29-3mjq-2pvx","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/grav-api-plugin-before-rce-via-configcontroller-scope-bypass","https://github.com/getgrav/grav/security/advisories/GHSA-2x29-3mjq-2pvx"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:48:17.459049833+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-72830","score":0.00742,"percentile":0.54706,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
