When\nmgmt_frame_len is below that, the subtraction wraps as an unsigned value to\na huge length. The memcpy then runs far past the kzalloc'd buffer. A\nmalicious or malfunctioning AP can make the frame short during the\nexternal SAE auth exchange, so this is a remotely triggered heap overflow.\n\nReject frames shorter than the management header offset before the copy.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-191"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/185bb156c427d0f865d344a6d0eaa02c6d05cc57","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/240c8d2c717b3f8153e7e877b22a82518d78dbdc","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/55b26abb1fa1ec406b3ad11b43c49c7624257565"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-72003","score":0.0035,"percentile":0.28358,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
