Pror to version 3.0.7, `WebhookHandler.feed_update()` deserializes the entire request body before verifying the HMAC signature. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to force expensive parsing of arbitrary JSON payloads that will ultimately be rejected, leading to unnecessary CPU and memory consumption. Version 3.0.7 fixes the issue. Some workarounds are available. Restrict request body size at the reverse proxy or web framework, rate-limit webhook endpoints, and/or reject oversized requests before JSON parsing.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-400"],"references":["https://github.com/vovchic17/aiosend/commit/db20f0a742209dfac181863d398ec5112687efa4","https://github.com/vovchic17/aiosend/releases/tag/v3.0.7","https://github.com/vovchic17/aiosend/security/advisories/GHSA-7m8f-hgjq-8gc9"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:34.184483516+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-70646","score":0.00636,"percentile":0.50208,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-7m8f-hgjq-8gc9","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-7m8f-hgjq-8gc9","summary":"aiosend: Deserialization of request body before signature verification (Pre-auth DoS) in webhook handler","modified":"2026-08-10T11:40:53.682753468Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiosend","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiosend","ranges":["<3.0.7"],"fixed":["3.0.7"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-3626","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-3626","summary":"aiosend: Deserialization of request body before signature verification (Pre-auth DoS) in webhook handler","modified":"2026-08-10T11:30:10.104414167Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiosend","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiosend","ranges":["<3.0.7"],"fixed":["3.0.7"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
