{"cve":"CVE-2026-69243","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-03T21:16:42.113","modified":"2026-10-23T21:10:00.157","status":"Undergoing Analysis","description":"AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.2, the HTTP parsers were vulnerable to a request smuggling attack relating to WebSocket upgrades. If using the server-side component, an attacker may be able to execute a request smuggling vulnerability using an edge case in the WebSocket upgrade procedure. A WebSocket upgrade request with a body could cause the parser to switch protocols before the complete request body was received, leaving trailing bytes to be handled as upgraded-protocol or pipelined data rather than normal HTTP body data. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.2.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-444"],"references":["https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/commit/6ae358f0983c3f4d6f67692b2f8e65dc8e091c98","https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/pull/13017","https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/releases/tag/v3.14.2","https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/security/advisories/GHSA-mfx4-hv73-q22v"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:34.184483516+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-69243","score":0.00443,"percentile":0.38233,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-mfx4-hv73-q22v","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-mfx4-hv73-q22v","summary":"AIOHTTP: HTTP request smuggling via WebSocket upgrade","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:14.385788837Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiohttp","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiohttp","ranges":["<3.14.2"],"fixed":["3.14.2"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-3546","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-3546","summary":"AIOHTTP: HTTP request smuggling via WebSocket upgrade","modified":"2026-08-04T14:30:13.791061724Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiohttp","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiohttp","ranges":["<3.14.2"],"fixed":["3.14.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
