{"cve":"CVE-2026-69153","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-03T17:16:46.127","modified":"2026-08-05T14:58:45.517","status":"Analyzed","description":"PostCSS takes a CSS file and provides an API to analyze and modify its rules by transforming the rules into an Abstract Syntax Tree. Prior to 8.5.19, if from is unset, an attacker can cause PreviousMap.loadFile() to read an unintended source-map file by supplying an absolute or directory-traversal sourceMappingURL. The resulting map’s sources and sourcesContent may then be exposed to the application. This issue is fixed in version 8.5.19.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/postcss/postcss/commit/7beca139e70f9075c6b19700fcb00dd8033e5da8","https://github.com/postcss/postcss/releases/tag/8.5.19","https://github.com/postcss/postcss/security/advisories/GHSA-fxqj-rqcc-2cmp","https://github.com/postcss/postcss/security/advisories/GHSA-fxqj-rqcc-2cmp"],"products":["postcss:postcss"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:47:10.050265369+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-69153","score":0.00451,"percentile":0.39208,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-fxqj-rqcc-2cmp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-fxqj-rqcc-2cmp","summary":"PostCSS: incomplete fix of GHSA-6g55-p6wh-862q — attacker-controlled sourceMappingURL reads arbitrary .map files when `from` is unset","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:53.572374167Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"postcss","purl":"pkg:npm/postcss","ranges":["<8.5.23"],"fixed":["8.5.23"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
