Those helpers can revalidate inode permissions,\nownership and LSM policy independently of the SMB handle access mask.\n\nRun each operation with the credentials captured in the target file when\nthe handle was opened. Keep credential handling local to these single-file\nFSCTLs rather than applying session credentials to the complete IOCTL\nhandler, which also contains handle-less and multi-handle operations.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H","score":9.1},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1e112c47ec5dd1942e2d4ca6e8e9b712238e20c2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a8c18434e1f0d9f7989170bdb0490c0160baf065","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c6394bcaf254c5baf9aff43376020be5db6d3316","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cfb2c6f71d61ed807c9d7a7af331d406f1f31877","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e205f3e7e8c31a47cd11efb6cf663a527177e432"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:48:17.459049833+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-68457","score":0.00703,"percentile":0.53295,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
