Since num_bytes is u8,\nit is always >= 0, so this strictly subsumes the simpler idx > curlen\nform and no separate step is needed.\n\n[added missing fixes tag]","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/04d953f50d61e542e94a5977822cc53735f8c0ce","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/185de1d74e658e2edb723ba76fa61903f77d8a68","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1a8f537f5a1eeac941f262fe73078d6b08ba83c0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/22d9f7fc1aaabaf73d5f30e8b0c9aa814ecd6ed2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/533d9e2bede4aeefdc2a0561d7071cfede95958f"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:47:54.990491175+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-68279","score":0.00184,"percentile":0.08055,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
