Atoms are never garbage collected and the BEAM atom table is hard-capped (about 1,048,576 entries by default), so one request carrying tens of thousands of unique keys creates that many permanent atoms and a handful of such requests exhausts the table and aborts the node. The impact is confined to availability: no data is read or altered, and recovery requires restarting the application.\n\nThis issue affects absinthe_federation: from 0.1.0 before 0.9.3.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://cna.erlef.org/cves/CVE-2026-67585.html","https://github.com/DivvyPayHQ/absinthe_federation/commit/c3838cda2a7f65c4893291668c223b0d6acf4516","https://github.com/DivvyPayHQ/absinthe_federation/security/advisories/GHSA-55hv-mwvr-phf3","https://osv.dev/vulnerability/EEF-CVE-2026-67585"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:34.184483516+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-67585","score":0.00707,"percentile":0.53128,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
