{"cve":"CVE-2026-67301","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-01T13:16:59.530","modified":"2026-09-08T14:27:34.270","status":"Analyzed","description":"FreeRDP before 3.29.0 contains out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities in the async update message proxy for the PolygonSC and PolygonCB primary drawing orders. When AsyncUpdate is enabled (e.g., xfreerdp /async-update), update_message_PolygonSC() and update_message_PolygonCB() allocate a fresh points array but copy point data from the address of the order structure instead of from polygonSC->points / polygonCB->points, resulting in a client-side out-of-bounds read. A malicious or compromised RDP server sending crafted PolygonSC/PolygonCB update orders can trigger memory disclosure or a client crash.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-125"],"references":["https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/commit/5370fb26fbf034ecd11d3026b6ad639b5fff493f","https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/security/advisories/GHSA-vxp3-7g6q-rq2w","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/freerdp-before-out-of-bounds-read-via-polygon-async-message-proxy","https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/security/advisories/GHSA-vxp3-7g6q-rq2w"],"products":["freerdp:freerdp"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:47:10.050265369+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-67301","score":0.00651,"percentile":0.51205,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
