Prior to 53.3.2, @platejs/docx-io fetches remote image URLs while converting attacker-controlled HTML through htmlToDocxBlob in a server-side or privileged environment. The converter can make requests to internal network resources and include the fetched image bytes in the generated DOCX, allowing server-side request forgery with response disclosure. Applications can also incur resource consumption from attacker-selected remote responses. This issue is fixed in version 53.3.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:L","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/udecode/plate/commit/21aa59926f4bbd421027354823cca09c6700ed73","https://github.com/udecode/plate/pull/5053","https://github.com/udecode/plate/releases/tag/v53.3.2","https://github.com/udecode/plate/security/advisories/GHSA-4q39-2jhr-7qx8"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-65842","score":0.00524,"percentile":0.44159,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4q39-2jhr-7qx8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4q39-2jhr-7qx8","summary":"Plate: SSRF with response disclosure in DOCX image embedding","modified":"2026-09-02T22:30:05.279538301Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@platejs/docx-io","purl":"pkg:npm/%40platejs/docx-io","ranges":["<53.3.2"],"fixed":["53.3.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
