Shell commands executed by the tool run without any filesystem or network restrictions, allowing unrestricted access to the host filesystem and network from within the computer-use agent process. This issue only affects deployments where the @n8n/computer-use package is explicitly installed and running; standard n8n installations are not affected.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:H/SA:H","score":5.5},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-78"],"references":["https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n/security/advisories/GHSA-fpg6-x68q-5793","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/n8n-before-shell-sandbox-bypass-on-linux-windows"],"products":["n8n:n8n"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:08.599881581+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-65590","score":0.00584,"percentile":0.47653,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-fpg6-x68q-5793","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-fpg6-x68q-5793","summary":"n8n: computer-use Shell Sandbox Not Enforced on Linux and Windows","modified":"2026-07-22T22:41:47.645941Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"n8n","purl":"pkg:npm/n8n","ranges":[">=2.30.0 <2.30.1"],"fixed":["2.30.1"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"n8n","purl":"pkg:npm/n8n","ranges":["<2.29.8"],"fixed":["2.29.8"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
