{"cve":"CVE-2026-64645","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-27T18:16:59.453","modified":"2026-10-24T13:10:00.147","status":"Analyzed","description":"Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. In versions 12.0.0 through 15.5.20 and 16.0.0 through 16.2.10, a\n rewrites() or redirects() rule that builds its external destination hostname from request-controlled input can be pointed at an arbitrary hostname, regardless of the rule's hostname suffix. For a rewrite, Next.js proxies the request to that arbitrary host and serves the response from the application's origin, leading to Server-Side Request forgery. A redirects() rule configured this way is vulnerable to an Open Redirect. This issue has been fixed in versions 15.5.21 and 16.2.11.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N","score":8.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-601","CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/vercel/next.js/commit/35f501357e9b0fe7c950b0d6aa8fcf5343f707e9","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/commit/d3033266c6dff23f7be71e19341fe3a8c6e2c599","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/releases/tag/v15.5.21","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/releases/tag/v16.2.11","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/security/advisories/GHSA-p9j2-gv94-2wf4"],"products":["vercel:next.js"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:27.712498749+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-64645","score":0.00414,"percentile":0.35359,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-p9j2-gv94-2wf4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-p9j2-gv94-2wf4","summary":"Next.js: Server-Side Request Forgery in rewrites via attacker-controlled destination hostname","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:11.554671163Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=12.0.0 <15.5.21"],"fixed":["15.5.21"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=16.0.0 <16.2.11"],"fixed":["16.2.11"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
