ETHTOOL_MSG_PHY_GET then oopses on:\n\n\trep_data->drvname = kstrdup(phydev->drv->name, GFP_KERNEL);\n\ndrvname is already treated as optional by phy_reply_size(),\nphy_fill_reply() and phy_cleanup_data(), so just skip the allocation\nwhen there is no driver bound.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/17fe2381f967d353183f374a1c0181a6d194158c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3586924625559e6f9876d726c80ff0a75f0d5849","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e3adf69f8eb121a9128c2b0029efd050d3649153"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:46:40.600842820+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-64228","score":0.0016,"percentile":0.05168,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
