{"cve":"CVE-2026-6420","nvd":{"published":"2026-05-06T11:16:05.193","modified":"2026-10-26T19:10:00.163","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in Keylime. An attacker with root access on an enrolled monitored machine, where the Keylime agent runs, can exploit a vulnerability in the Keylime verifier. The verifier uses a hardcoded challenge nonce for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) quote attestation instead of a cryptographically random value. This allows the attacker to stockpile valid TPM quotes and replay them to evade detection after compromising the system. This issue affects only the push model deployment.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:L","score":6.3},"cwes":["CWE-1241"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:28582","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-6420","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2458889"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T19:31:02.781428341+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-6420","score":0.00121,"percentile":0.01891,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-q8w6-w55c-ccv5","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-q8w6-w55c-ccv5","summary":"Keylime has a hardcoded attestation challenge nonce that allows replay attacks","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:16.346391063Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"keylime","purl":"pkg:pypi/keylime","ranges":[">=7.14.0 <7.14.2"],"fixed":["7.14.2"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2548","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2548","summary":"Keylime has a hardcoded attestation challenge nonce that allows replay attacks","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:00.954380755Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"keylime","purl":"pkg:pypi/keylime","ranges":[">=7.14.0 <7.14.2"],"fixed":["7.14.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
