{"cve":"CVE-2026-6410","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-16T14:16:20.173","modified":"2026-06-17T11:00:47.853","status":"Analyzed","description":"@fastify/static versions 8.0.0 through 9.1.0 allow path traversal when directory listing is enabled via the list option. The dirList.path() function resolves directories outside the configured static root using path.join() without a containment check. A remote unauthenticated attacker can obtain directory listings for arbitrary directories accessible to the Node.js process, disclosing directory and file names. File contents are not disclosed. Upgrade to @fastify/static 9.1.1 to fix this issue. As a workaround, disable directory listing by removing the list option from the plugin configuration.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://cna.openjsf.org/security-advisories.html","https://github.com/fastify/fastify-static/security/advisories/GHSA-pr96-94w5-mx2h"],"products":["fastify:fastify-static"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-6410","score":0.00506,"percentile":0.43204,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pr96-94w5-mx2h","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pr96-94w5-mx2h","summary":"@fastify/static vulnerable to path traversal in directory listing","modified":"2026-04-16T22:56:28.683376Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@fastify/static","purl":"pkg:npm/%40fastify/static","ranges":[">=8.0.0 <9.1.1"],"fixed":["9.1.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
