Unfortunately, it can't\nbe marked for writeback until the folio is done with as that may cause a\ndeadlock against mmapped reads and writes.\n\nEven though it has been marked dirty, premature writeback can't occur as\nthe caller is holding both inode->i_rwsem (which will prevent concurrent\ntruncation, fallocation, DIO and other writes) and ictx->wb_lock (which\nwill cause flushing to wait and writeback to skip or wait).\n\nNote that this may be easier to deal with once the queuing of folios is\nsplit from the generation of subrequests.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-667"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/003aa0dd26c964025acd6d1213bcdbd674db2ca9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1468f39243ccb155b6d97f9a9932f610d1205d75","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b6a4ae1634b3ad2aaa05222e53d36da532852faf","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e40e9cbf3ee4d30ee9a97bd128c85500b6ad0da1"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:45:36.895656543+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-64062","score":0.00094,"percentile":0.00575,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
