Since num_entries is a __u32 and\nsizeof(drm_amdgpu_gem_vm_entry) is 32 bytes, a large num_entries\nproduces an allocation exceeding INT_MAX, triggering\nWARNING in __kvmalloc_node_noprof(), causing a kernel WARNING,\nTAINT_WARN, and panic on CONFIG_PANIC_ON_WARN=y systems.\n\nAdd a size bounds check before we invoke the kvzalloc() to\nreject oversized num_entries early with -EINVAL.\n\n(cherry picked from commit 1fe7bf5457f6efd7be60b17e23163ba54341d73d)","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/967a00b8e06a7734aded23861faba9ee2462be87","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a1ba4594232c87c3b8defd6f89a2e40f8b08395d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f059b4c493df3e54fe3ffe4658009c31864275da"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-30T15:05:48.213661142+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-63878","score":0.00206,"percentile":0.1075,"date":"2026-10-30"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
