{"cve":"CVE-2026-63405","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-18T17:16:59.463","modified":"2026-09-24T21:25:27.050","status":"Deferred","description":"AnyCable is a realtime server for reliable two-way communication that supports any backend. Prior to 1.6.15, the Pusher-compatible REST API in pusher/http.go includes the caller-supplied body_md5 value in the HMAC input but does not calculate the digest of the received request body or compare it with the signed value. An attacker who obtains a legitimate signed POST request can retain its query parameters and auth_signature while replacing the body, causing Handler and handleEvents to accept and broadcast attacker-selected event content. The absence of an auth_timestamp freshness check also allows the captured signature to be replayed indefinitely. This can forge server-side events, modify application state, or deliver attacker-controlled messages to WebSocket clients within the signed request's application context. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.15.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-345"],"references":["https://github.com/anycable/anycable/commit/d2cbadec792f038f4695c84a65c0d957b0fde72c","https://github.com/anycable/anycable/releases/tag/v1.6.15","https://github.com/anycable/anycable/security/advisories/GHSA-5p54-whvp-x327","https://github.com/anycable/anycable/security/advisories/GHSA-5p54-whvp-x327"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-63405","score":0.00209,"percentile":0.11009,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-5p54-whvp-x327","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-5p54-whvp-x327","summary":"AnyCable: Pusher REST API Does Not Verify Request Body MD5 Enabling Signed-Request Replay with Arbitrary Body","modified":"2026-09-28T17:10:52.635822676Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/anycable/anycable","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/anycable/anycable","ranges":["<1.6.15"],"fixed":["1.6.15"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-6516","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6516","summary":"AnyCable: Pusher REST API Does Not Verify Request Body MD5 Enabling Signed-Request Replay with Arbitrary Body in github.com/anycable/anycable-go","modified":"2026-09-28T17:00:16.361269720Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/anycable/anycable-go","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/anycable/anycable-go","ranges":["all versions"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
