{"cve":"CVE-2026-6294","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-22T09:16:26.677","modified":"2026-06-17T11:00:36.280","status":"Deferred","description":"The Google PageRank Display plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to and including 1.4. This is due to missing nonce validation in the gpdisplay_option() function, which handles the plugin settings page. The settings form does not include a wp_nonce_field(), and the form handler does not call check_admin_referer() or wp_verify_nonce() before processing the POST request. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to trick a logged-in administrator into submitting a crafted request that changes the plugin's settings (stored via update_option()), such as the display style used to render the PageRank badge.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/google-pagerank-display/tags/1.4/gpdisplay.php#L32","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/google-pagerank-display/tags/1.4/gpdisplay.php#L56","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/google-pagerank-display/trunk/gpdisplay.php#L32","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/google-pagerank-display/trunk/gpdisplay.php#L56","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/e39ebe27-7780-48b6-8dca-7da7a78fce69?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-6294","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09953,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
