{"cve":"CVE-2026-62241","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-17T02:18:11.740","modified":"2026-10-24T20:10:00.137","status":"Analyzed","description":"clawvet self-hosted API server (apps/api) before 0.7.5 hard-codes a fallback JWT secret ('clawvet-dev-secret-change-me') in auth.ts and ships it as the default in .env.example. Because GET /api/v1/scans returns scan records containing userId values without authentication, a remote unauthenticated attacker can harvest a victim's userId, forge a valid HS256 cg_session cookie offline using the known secret, and call GET /api/v1/auth/me to obtain the victim's email address, subscription plan, and secret apiKey. The published clawvet npm package (CLI only) is not affected.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-306","CWE-321"],"references":["https://github.com/MohibShaikh/clawvet/security/advisories/GHSA-9mww-p953-jfc9","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/clawvet-hard-coded-jwt-secret-session-forgery","https://github.com/MohibShaikh/clawvet/security/advisories/GHSA-9mww-p953-jfc9"],"products":["mohibshaikh:clawvet"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:08.599881581+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-62241","score":0.0067,"percentile":0.51685,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
