{"cve":"CVE-2026-62176","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-07T17:16:56.007","modified":"2026-10-07T17:16:56.153","status":"Deferred","description":"PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to version 4.6.78, the `deploy/api.py` module generates Python server code by directly interpolating the `agents_file` parameter into an f-string that is then written to a file and executed via `subprocess.Popen()`. An attacker who controls the `agents_file` value (via CLI argument, configuration, or upstream API) can inject arbitrary Python code. Version 4.6.78 patches the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-g6j7-pffp-8whg","https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-g6j7-pffp-8whg"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:01.639778232+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-62176","score":0.0046,"percentile":0.39647,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g6j7-pffp-8whg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g6j7-pffp-8whg","summary":"PraisonAI: Code Injection via f-string Interpolation in Deploy API Server Generation","modified":"2026-10-15T14:56:12.523244698Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonai","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonai","ranges":["<4.6.78"],"fixed":["4.6.78"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4256","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4256","summary":"PraisonAI: Code Injection via f-string Interpolation in Deploy API Server Generation","modified":"2026-10-15T14:56:12.523244698Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonai","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonai","ranges":["<4.6.78"],"fixed":["4.6.78"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
