{"cve":"CVE-2026-61836","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-15T15:16:48.603","modified":"2026-07-28T15:46:30.503","status":"Analyzed","description":"Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 12.0.0, when response caching is enabled, the cache-key derivation in api/src/utils/get-cache-key.ts includes version, path, query, and accountability.user but omits authorization context such as share, role, roles, admin, app, and policies. Directus share tokens and anonymous requests can both reduce to user null, so different shares or anonymous clients requesting the same URL and query can receive a permission-filtered cached response without permission re-evaluation. This issue is fixed in version 12.0.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":8.6},"cwes":["CWE-524","CWE-639"],"references":["https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/7ba4efb97525d3af33570537c76e44baea767f13","https://github.com/directus/directus/pull/27707","https://github.com/directus/directus/releases/tag/v12.0.0","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-c6w9-5g5j-jh2p"],"products":["monospace:directus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:45:36.895656543+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-61836","score":0.00474,"percentile":0.41021,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-c6w9-5g5j-jh2p","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-c6w9-5g5j-jh2p","summary":"Directus: Authorization-dependent response served from unsegmented cache key","modified":"2026-07-20T22:00:25.332672094Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"directus","purl":"pkg:npm/directus","ranges":["<12.0.0"],"fixed":["12.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
