{"cve":"CVE-2026-61834","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-23T15:17:15.127","modified":"2026-09-23T17:17:15.923","status":"Deferred","description":"scim-patch is a library for applying SCIM patch operations. Prior to 0.9.2, navigate() reads inherited properties and assign() uses prototype-chain membership checks while resolving attacker-controlled SCIM PATCH paths. A path or one of the dotted value keys beginning with an inherited property such as toString can therefore traverse into a shared built-in function object and add attacker-controlled properties, causing process-global mutation that may affect application logic reading inherited-method properties. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-915","CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/thomaspoignant/scim-patch/commit/c86474f7a9b16191d939f59ba94eca6c6e63044b","https://github.com/thomaspoignant/scim-patch/pull/1127","https://github.com/thomaspoignant/scim-patch/releases/tag/v0.9.2","https://github.com/thomaspoignant/scim-patch/security/advisories/GHSA-2mhw-wcx5-v3xj","https://github.com/thomaspoignant/scim-patch/security/advisories/GHSA-2mhw-wcx5-v3xj"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-61834","score":0.00396,"percentile":0.33803,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2mhw-wcx5-v3xj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2mhw-wcx5-v3xj","summary":"scim-patch: Mutation of Inherited Built-in Method Objects","modified":"2026-09-28T14:15:04.388935988Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"scim-patch","purl":"pkg:npm/scim-patch","ranges":["<0.9.2"],"fixed":["0.9.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
