{"cve":"CVE-2026-61792","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-26T21:16:39.510","modified":"2026-09-09T21:09:13.080","status":"Deferred","description":"Weblate is a web-based continuous localization platform used to manage software translations. In versions prior to 2026.7, a project administrator can read files outside their repository through the App store metadata download feature, which resolves attacker-influenced paths without adequately confining them to the repository. This is an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-34242, whose original patch failed to fully prevent the path traversal, allowing the arbitrary file read to persist. A user with project-administrator privileges can therefore disclose the contents of files on the Weblate host that lie outside the project's repository. This issue is fixed in version 2026.7.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.7},"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-59","CWE-693"],"references":["https://github.com/WeblateOrg/weblate/commit/299fb28315674ae3fb010e96031951cacfe367db","https://github.com/WeblateOrg/weblate/commit/33a9acb5ad223a927a56ffd741bbddf28a54a5e3","https://github.com/WeblateOrg/weblate/security/advisories/GHSA-xwj4-fp82-r2rj"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:50:17.453294893+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-61792","score":0.00586,"percentile":0.48028,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
