{"cve":"CVE-2026-61732","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-24T18:17:15.860","modified":"2026-09-30T17:32:07.107","status":"Deferred","description":"Decepticon is an autonomous hacking agent for red teams. Versions prior to 1.1.17 wrap web crawl results — the output of agent reconnaissance against target services — into LLM messages without neutralizing ChatML special-token literals. Under the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) deployment model, users configure their own LLM credentials to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Most open-source and self-deployed model providers (vLLM, SGLang, Ollama, LM Studio, text-generation-webui, etc.) do not filter special-token literals from user content in their default configurations. Those literals are parsed into structural role-boundary token IDs, meaning an attacker string planted in a target web page forges a new operator turn the model treats as authoritative, bypassing Decepticon's agent guardrails and resulting in arbitrary command execution inside the Kali Linux sandbox. Version 1.1.17 patches the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-74"],"references":["https://github.com/BitterSecurity/Decepticon/commit/79ee2aaf22f4c36a5b1968f6ca3f8086b6e35b67","https://github.com/BitterSecurity/Decepticon/security/advisories/GHSA-g5f9-3xfg-p9mf","https://github.com/BitterSecurity/Decepticon/security/advisories/GHSA-g5f9-3xfg-p9mf"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-61732","score":0.0147,"percentile":0.73569,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g5f9-3xfg-p9mf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g5f9-3xfg-p9mf","summary":"Decepticon: Role-boundary forgery via ChatML special-token literals in web crawl output composed into LLM context","modified":"2026-10-01T17:55:53.306958453Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"decepticon-core","purl":"pkg:pypi/decepticon-core","ranges":["<1.1.17"],"fixed":["1.1.17"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"decepticon","purl":"pkg:pypi/decepticon","ranges":["<1.1.17"],"fixed":["1.1.17"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"decepticon-sdk","purl":"pkg:pypi/decepticon-sdk","ranges":["<1.1.17"],"fixed":["1.1.17"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4032","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4032","summary":"Decepticon: Role-boundary forgery via ChatML special-token literals in web crawl output composed into LLM context","modified":"2026-10-01T17:55:53.306958453Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"decepticon","purl":"pkg:pypi/decepticon","ranges":["<1.1.17"],"fixed":["1.1.17"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4033","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4033","summary":"Decepticon: Role-boundary forgery via ChatML special-token literals in web crawl output composed into LLM context","modified":"2026-10-01T17:55:53.306958453Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"decepticon-core","purl":"pkg:pypi/decepticon-core","ranges":["<1.1.17"],"fixed":["1.1.17"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4034","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4034","summary":"Decepticon: Role-boundary forgery via ChatML special-token literals in web crawl output composed into LLM context","modified":"2026-10-01T17:55:53.306958453Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"decepticon-sdk","purl":"pkg:pypi/decepticon-sdk","ranges":["<1.1.17"],"fixed":["1.1.17"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
