Prior to 0.9.0, the Docker API server accepted request-supplied browser_config.extra_args, which flowed into Chromium's launch arguments. An attacker could inject Chromium switches that replace a child-process launch command together with --no-zygote, causing Chromium to fork or exec an attacker-controlled command as the container's runtime user. The Docker API is unauthenticated by default, so a single request yields arbitrary command execution. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-88","CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/commit/60886d1a0c52682e4c83a7cef9dfac417fff6bd2","https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/security/advisories/GHSA-r253-r9jw-qg44"],"products":["kidocode:crawl4ai"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:34.550481224+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-57572","score":0.00939,"percentile":0.6065,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-r253-r9jw-qg44","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-r253-r9jw-qg44","summary":"Crawl4AI: Unauthenticated RCE via Chromium launch-argument injection in browser_config.extra_args","modified":"2026-07-13T07:26:27.750541237Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"crawl4ai","purl":"pkg:pypi/crawl4ai","ranges":["<0.9.0"],"fixed":["0.9.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2139","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2139","summary":"","modified":"2026-07-13T07:15:23.173179651Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"crawl4ai","purl":"pkg:pypi/crawl4ai","ranges":["<0.9.0"],"fixed":["0.9.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
