{"cve":"CVE-2026-56382","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-21T14:16:25.757","modified":"2026-10-25T23:10:00.167","status":"Deferred","description":"Craft CMS (composer package craftcms/cms) versions >= 5.5.0 and <= 5.9.13 contain a remote code execution vulnerability in the FieldsController::actionRenderCardPreview() method, which passes the fieldLayoutConfig POST parameter directly to Fields::createLayout() without calling Component::cleanseConfig(). An authenticated admin user can inject Yii2 event handlers (e.g., 'on init' keys) via the fieldLayoutConfig parameter to execute arbitrary PHP code and disclose sensitive information (such as environment variables containing database credentials and CRAFT_SECURITY_KEY). The issue is fixed in version 5.9.14.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.6},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/craftcms/cms/security/advisories/GHSA-86vw-x4ww-x467","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/craft-cms-remote-code-execution-via-missing-config-sanitization-in-fieldscontroller","https://github.com/craftcms/cms/security/advisories/GHSA-86vw-x4ww-x467"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-56382","score":0.00886,"percentile":0.59003,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
