Unprivileged co-resident users can exploit the unprotected module request handler to read arbitrary files such as .env and SSH keys through the SSR plugin pipeline. Production builds are unaffected, as the IPC server runs only in development.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.8},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-276"],"references":["https://github.com/nuxt/nuxt/commit/1f9f4767a8725104da9bee872bb8d35246f25ae5","https://github.com/nuxt/nuxt/commit/c293bf9503ccb3bc9559bff4a1f592f99063c9ea","https://github.com/nuxt/nuxt/security/advisories/GHSA-534h-c3cw-v3h9","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/nuxt-arbitrary-file-read-via-world-connectable-vite-node-ipc-socket-on-linux"],"products":["nuxt:nuxt"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:39:28.638635428+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-56301","score":0.00149,"percentile":0.04061,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-534h-c3cw-v3h9","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-534h-c3cw-v3h9","summary":"Nuxt dev server vite-node IPC socket is world-connectable on Linux","modified":"2026-09-23T21:45:07.990536301Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nuxt","purl":"pkg:npm/nuxt","ranges":[">=4.0.0 <4.4.7"],"fixed":["4.4.7"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nuxt","purl":"pkg:npm/nuxt","ranges":[">=3.18.0 <3.21.7"],"fixed":["3.21.7"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
