{"cve":"CVE-2026-56280","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-22T22:16:51.197","modified":"2026-10-25T23:10:00.167","status":"Deferred","description":"Cap-go before 12.128.2 contains a privilege inversion vulnerability in GET /build/logs/:jobId that allows read-only API key holders to cancel running native builds. The endpoint registers an abort listener on the SSE stream that unconditionally invokes cancelBuildOnDisconnect() using the privileged server-side BUILDER_API_KEY when clients disconnect, bypassing the app.build_native permission check required by the explicit POST /build/cancel/:jobId endpoint. Attackers with read-only API keys can repeatedly disrupt native build operations and CI/CD workflows by opening the log stream and dropping the connection.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H","score":7.1},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://github.com/Cap-go/capgo/security/advisories/GHSA-95g7-xwwx-j737","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/cap-go-privilege-inversion-in-build-log-stream-via-sse-disconnect","https://github.com/Cap-go/capgo/security/advisories/GHSA-95g7-xwwx-j737"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-56280","score":0.00372,"percentile":0.30823,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
