{"cve":"CVE-2026-56269","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-24T13:16:35.400","modified":"2026-10-25T23:10:00.167","status":"Analyzed","description":"Flowise before 3.1.0 (npm package flowise, versions 3.0.13 and earlier) uses a weak hardcoded default value 'Secre$t' for the TOKEN_HASH_SECRET environment variable in packages/server/src/enterprise/utils/tempTokenUtils.ts when the variable is not configured. This secret derives the AES-256-CBC key used to encrypt user IDs and workspace IDs in the 'meta' field of JWT tokens. An attacker who knows the default secret can decrypt this metadata to extract internal user and workspace identifiers, and re-encrypt manipulated values such as altered user or workspace IDs. Because the JWT signature is validated separately, decrypting or tampering with this metadata does not by itself grant access, but the disclosure of internal identifiers and possible metadata manipulation could aid privilege escalation or unauthorized data access.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:H/AT:N/PR:H/UI:A/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":4.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:H/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":4.6},"cwes":["CWE-798"],"references":["https://github.com/FlowiseAI/Flowise/security/advisories/GHSA-m7mq-85xj-9x33","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/flowise-weak-default-token-hash-secret-in-jwt-token-encryption"],"products":["flowiseai:flowise"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-56269","score":0.00129,"percentile":0.02512,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-m7mq-85xj-9x33","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-m7mq-85xj-9x33","summary":"Flowise: Weak Default Token Hash Secret","modified":"2026-07-20T21:46:42.544614724Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"flowise","purl":"pkg:npm/flowise","ranges":["<3.1.0"],"fixed":["3.1.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
