{"cve":"CVE-2026-56248","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-23T13:16:44.687","modified":"2026-10-25T23:10:00.167","status":"Deferred","description":"Cap-go capgo (capgo-backend) before 12.128.12 contains an unauthenticated denial-of-service vulnerability arising from the audit_logs table's Row-Level Security (RLS) policy when accessed via the Supabase PostgREST API. Because the PostgreSQL query planner executes costly logic before RLS rejection, unfiltered queries to the public.audit_logs endpoint using the public anon key consistently trigger statement timeouts (PostgREST error 57014). Under concurrency, this exhausts database resources and causes cascading HTTP 500 failures on unrelated endpoints (e.g. /orgs), resulting in an application-layer denial of service.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-400"],"references":["https://github.com/Cap-go/capgo/security/advisories/GHSA-5vgv-rqj5-5748","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/capgo-unauthenticated-denial-of-service-via-audit-logs-rls-policy","https://github.com/Cap-go/capgo/security/advisories/GHSA-5vgv-rqj5-5748"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-56248","score":0.00488,"percentile":0.41693,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
