Prior to 0.5.2, 9router determines whether a /v1 LLM proxy request is local by reading the client-controlled Host header, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to send Host: localhost and bypass API-key authentication. In the default configuration, this exposes the /v1 proxy to upstream provider calls using stored provider credentials and allows /v1/search with the searxng provider_options.baseUrl parameter to drive server-side requests to internal or cloud-metadata hosts. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-290","CWE-348","CWE-918","CWE-1327"],"references":["https://github.com/decolua/9router/commit/b282f0554972ea35281520738759d76abcd0b0b3","https://github.com/decolua/9router/releases/tag/v0.5.2","https://github.com/decolua/9router/security/advisories/GHSA-86m2-fcxq-5q7c","https://github.com/decolua/9router/security/advisories/GHSA-86m2-fcxq-5q7c"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:06.907763985+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-55641","score":0.00323,"percentile":0.25035,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-86m2-fcxq-5q7c","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-86m2-fcxq-5q7c","summary":"9router: Unauthenticated `/v1` proxy access via `Host`-header spoofing → open AI relay + SSRF","modified":"2026-08-28T18:45:07.831453959Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"9router","purl":"pkg:npm/9router","ranges":["<0.5.2"],"fixed":["0.5.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
