{"cve":"CVE-2026-55501","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-10T16:16:33.493","modified":"2026-10-25T15:10:00.147","status":"Deferred","description":"9Router is an AI router & token saver. Prior to 0.4.80, the dashboard login rate limiter in src/lib/auth/loginLimiter.js derives the client identity from the attacker-controlled X-Forwarded-For HTTP header, and src/app/api/auth/login/route.js uses that spoofable value for checkLock and recordFail. A remote attacker can rotate the X-Forwarded-For value on each login attempt to receive a fresh rate-limit bucket, bypass the 5-attempt threshold and progressive lockout durations, and perform unlimited brute-force attempts against the dashboard password. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.80.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-307"],"references":["https://github.com/decolua/9router/commit/7648c3412b403a29f04967c4b4e9725e228791d4","https://github.com/decolua/9router/releases/tag/v0.4.80","https://github.com/decolua/9router/security/advisories/GHSA-7cfm-pqrj-xgq7","https://github.com/decolua/9router/security/advisories/GHSA-7cfm-pqrj-xgq7"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:06.907763985+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-55501","score":0.00515,"percentile":0.43596,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-7cfm-pqrj-xgq7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-7cfm-pqrj-xgq7","summary":"9router: Login brute-force protection bypass via spoofed X-Forwarded-For header","modified":"2026-07-06T22:11:30.120695Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"9router","purl":"pkg:npm/9router","ranges":["<0.4.77"],"fixed":["0.4.77"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
