{"cve":"CVE-2026-55207","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-09T21:16:55.890","modified":"2026-07-10T15:52:52.497","status":"Deferred","description":"Pimcore is an Open Source Data & Experience Management Platform. Prior to 2025.4.6 and 2026.1.6, an unauthenticated attacker who knows a valid admin username can take over any Pimcore admin account by sending a password reset request with an attacker-controlled resetPasswordUrl. The server generates a real cryptographic recovery token, appends it to the supplied URL, and emails the link to the victim; when the victim clicks the link, the token is sent to the attacker and can be used with POST /pimcore-studio/api/login/token to authenticate with full admin privileges while bypassing two-factor authentication. This issue is fixed in versions 2025.4.6 and 2026.1.6.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-640"],"references":["https://github.com/pimcore/pimcore/security/advisories/GHSA-h854-c3m3-mh5v","https://github.com/pimcore/studio-backend-bundle/commit/ea9d329686f5e5aea2eec378d63ac2deb965bb27","https://github.com/pimcore/studio-backend-bundle/pull/1882","https://github.com/pimcore/studio-backend-bundle/releases/tag/v2025.4.6","https://github.com/pimcore/studio-backend-bundle/releases/tag/v2026.1.6"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:44:02.134301115+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-55207","score":0.00666,"percentile":0.5183,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
