From 17.0.4 until 22.7.2 and 23.0.0-beta.2, the local HTTP server started by nx graph sent Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * on every response, letting any website a developer visited read the server's responses cross-origin — including the full project graph and the output of the /help endpoint, which runs a target's configured help command. The practical impact is typically cross-origin information disclosure, but can be arbitrary command injection in rare cases. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.7.2 and 23.0.0-beta.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-749","CWE-942"],"references":["https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/35494","https://github.com/nrwl/nx/security/advisories/GHSA-g2r8-wvmj-jf5w"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:06.907763985+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54753","score":0.01204,"percentile":0.6805,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g2r8-wvmj-jf5w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g2r8-wvmj-jf5w","summary":"`nx graph` dev server permissive CORS policy","modified":"2026-07-31T17:00:20.626253356Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nx","purl":"pkg:npm/nx","ranges":[">=17.0.4 <22.7.2"],"fixed":["22.7.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nx","purl":"pkg:npm/nx","ranges":[">=23.0.0-beta.0 <23.0.0-beta.2"],"fixed":["23.0.0-beta.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
