{"cve":"CVE-2026-54684","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-14T22:17:16.680","modified":"2026-10-24T22:10:00.210","status":"Deferred","description":"jadx is a Dex to Java decompiler. From 1.5.2 to 1.5.5, a malicious .xapk file can cause jadx to write attacker-controlled archive entry contents outside the intended XAPK plugin temporary unpack directory because XApkLoader resolves each entry name directly with tmpDir.resolve(fileName) after a CWD-based ZIP security check. When jadx is launched from a directory that is an ancestor of the config directory, the arbitrary write can plant a JAR in plugins/dropins, and the next jadx run loads the JAR with URLClassLoader and ServiceLoader, executing attacker-controlled plugin code. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.6.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.0},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/skylot/jadx/commit/a74bb07d6eebaf4da5c2b2cbc4d3c0c3cb7517cb","https://github.com/skylot/jadx/releases/tag/v1.5.6","https://github.com/skylot/jadx/security/advisories/GHSA-gpvc-ccw7-744v","https://github.com/skylot/jadx/security/advisories/GHSA-gpvc-ccw7-744v"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:06.907763985+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54684","score":0.00201,"percentile":0.0991,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
