{"cve":"CVE-2026-54637","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-15T15:17:18.443","modified":"2026-09-30T17:51:56.193","status":"Deferred","description":"Dragonfly is an open source P2P-based file distribution and image acceleration system. Prior to 2.4.4-rc.3, the scheduler's default unauthenticated v1 gRPC flow accepts attacker-controlled PeerHost.Ip and PeerHost.DownPort values through RegisterPeerTask and ReportPeerResult, storeHost copies those values into resource.Host, and handlePeerSuccess invokes Peer.DownloadTinyFile() for a TINY task. DownloadTinyFile() in scheduler/resource/standard/peer.go builds an HTTP GET request from the supplied address without destination validation, allowing a remote attacker to probe loopback, link-local, and private services and place up to TinyFileSize, 128 bytes, of a response in Task.DirectPiece for later retrieval. PeerHost.DownPort is restricted to ports 1024 through 65534, and the issue provides read SSRF rather than remote code execution. The remediation blocks loopback and link-local targets, while RFC1918 destinations remain reachable because IsGlobalUnicast accepts private ranges. This issue is fixed in 2.4.4-rc.3.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":5.5},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/dragonflyoss/dragonfly/commit/4f9bd93d22453e3f433f9d912bfeeca22760c237","https://github.com/dragonflyoss/dragonfly/releases/tag/v2.4.4-rc.3","https://github.com/dragonflyoss/dragonfly/security/advisories/GHSA-chwm-m7g7-685g","https://github.com/dragonflyoss/dragonfly/security/advisories/GHSA-chwm-m7g7-685g"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:53:43.293028046+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54637","score":0.008,"percentile":0.56306,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-chwm-m7g7-685g","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-chwm-m7g7-685g","summary":"Dragonfly scheduler v1 and v2 gRPC unauthenticated SSRF via attacker-controlled PeerHost in DownloadTinyFile","modified":"2026-07-07T16:11:28.692686462Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","ranges":["<2.4.4-rc.3"],"fixed":["2.4.4-rc.3"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-5910","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5910","summary":"Dragonfly scheduler v1 and v2 gRPC unauthenticated SSRF via attacker-controlled PeerHost in DownloadTinyFile in d7y.io/dragonfly","modified":"2026-07-07T16:00:24.140170585Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","ranges":["<2.4.4-rc.3"],"fixed":["2.4.4-rc.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
