From 0.74.0 until 0.78.1, Pi HTML exports render session Markdown into a static HTML file. It did not consistently reject unsafe Markdown link and image URL schemes. In versions with scheme filtering, C0 control characters in the URL scheme could bypass the check because browsers normalize those characters before navigation. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.78.1.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":2.5},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/earendil-works/pi/commit/6cb23f9b5d5b6d1747672f535b167d0d809ac010","https://github.com/earendil-works/pi/releases/tag/v0.78.1","https://github.com/earendil-works/pi/security/advisories/GHSA-7v5m-pr3q-6453"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54326","score":0.00172,"percentile":0.06582,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-7v5m-pr3q-6453","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-7v5m-pr3q-6453","summary":"Pi Agent: Potential XSS in HTML session exports via Markdown URL sanitization bypass","modified":"2026-07-20T21:30:33.172372468Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@mariozechner/pi-coding-agent","purl":"pkg:npm/%40mariozechner/pi-coding-agent","ranges":[">=0.27.5 <=0.73.1"],"fixed":[]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@earendil-works/pi-coding-agent","purl":"pkg:npm/%40earendil-works/pi-coding-agent","ranges":[">=0.74.0 <0.78.1"],"fixed":["0.78.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
