Prior to 11.1.24, an authentication bypass vulnerability exists in @nestjs/platform-fastify. When middleware is registered through NestJS's MiddlewareConsumer.forRoutes() API on the Fastify adapter, an unauthenticated client can bypass the Nest middleware registered for that route by simply appending a trailing slash (/) to the request URL. This bypass works on the default Fastify adapter configuration. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.1.24.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-863"],"references":["https://github.com/nestjs/nest/security/advisories/GHSA-6v32-fjc9-9qf6"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54281","score":0.00498,"percentile":0.42418,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-6v32-fjc9-9qf6","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-6v32-fjc9-9qf6","summary":"Nest: Middleware Bypass on Fastify via Trailing Slash","modified":"2026-07-18T17:30:30.681312997Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@nestjs/platform-fastify","purl":"pkg:npm/%40nestjs/platform-fastify","ranges":["<11.1.24"],"fixed":["11.1.24"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
