{"cve":"CVE-2026-54204","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-07T10:16:57.207","modified":"2026-10-24T16:10:00.153","status":"Deferred","description":"Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox 's search functionality accepts a “pathnameroot” \nparameter, which can be set to network locations using UNC paths (e.g., \n“\\\\Server\\Share”). The server processes these paths without validation, \nresulting in outbound connection attempts to attacker-controlled SMB \nservers. This enables unauthenticated attackers to trigger the server to\n authenticate to arbitrary SMB endpoints, potentially exposing NTLM \nauthentication information (such as NTLM hashes). If outbound \nconnections to port 445 (SMB) are permitted, attackers can use this to \nconduct SMB relay or credential theft attacks. Exploitation of the \n“pathnameroot” parameter is possible without authentication. This issue affects TeamDavid before Rollout 528.\n\nStarting with Rollout 528 (June 30, 2026), the affected functionality is disabled by default and the vulnerabilities are therefore no longer exposed through this functionality.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-20","CWE-918"],"references":["https://chayns.net/77892-10814/tapp/763210?postId=11454","https://labs.infoguard.ch/posts/22-cves-in-david-a-secure-m365-alternative/"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:34.184483516+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54204","score":0.00569,"percentile":0.46839,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
