{"cve":"CVE-2026-54134","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-21T19:17:03.197","modified":"2026-10-14T19:10:00.297","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"OctoPrint provides a web interface for controlling consumer 3D printers. Prior to 1.11.8 and 2.0.0rc3, OctoPrint's custom Tornado upload handler and Flask with Werkzeug parse request parameters differently, allowing an attacker with FILE_UPLOAD permission to inject reserved internal upload fields through query parameters or parser differentials despite the earlier GHSA-m9jh-jf9h-x3h2 fix. The affected endpoints are /api/files/{local|sdcard}, /api/languages, /plugin/backup/restore, and /plugin/pluginmanager/upload_file. An attacker can make OctoPrint treat an arbitrary host file as a temporary upload, move it into a downloadable upload directory, disclose configuration secrets or other readable files, and remove runtime files in a way that can affect a later restart. This issue is fixed in versions 1.11.8 and 2.0.0rc3.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.0},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-73"],"references":["https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint/commit/579148beeb6d6e9b3d41b1cf32309b47218ed380","https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint/commit/8e3348197db867c30a32d13984f0bd0d664be413","https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint/releases/tag/1.11.8","https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint/releases/tag/2.0.0rc3","https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint/security/advisories/GHSA-j4h9-pm27-4rfw"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54134","score":0.00324,"percentile":0.25178,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-j4h9-pm27-4rfw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-j4h9-pm27-4rfw","summary":"OctoPrint has possible file exfiltration via query parameters on upload endpoints","modified":"2026-08-21T18:45:12.966720158Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"octoprint","purl":"pkg:pypi/octoprint","ranges":["<1.11.8"],"fixed":["1.11.8"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"octoprint","purl":"pkg:pypi/octoprint","ranges":[">=2.0.0rc1 <2.0.0rc3"],"fixed":["2.0.0rc3"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2687","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2687","summary":"OctoPrint has possible file exfiltration via query parameters on upload endpoints","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:17.544974394Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"octoprint","purl":"pkg:pypi/octoprint","ranges":["<1.11.8",">=2.0.0rc1 <2.0.0rc3"],"fixed":["1.11.8","2.0.0rc3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
