{"cve":"CVE-2026-54074","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-01T21:17:03.227","modified":"2026-07-02T17:45:00.780","status":"Deferred","description":"Tina is a headless content management system. @tinacms/cli versions prior to 2.4.3 contain a Remote Code Execution vulnerability in the Forestry-to-Tina migration command. The internal helper addVariablesToCode unquotes any value matching the marker \"__TINA_INTERNAL__:::(.*?):::\" inside the stringified collection JSON. User-supplied label and name fields from .forestry/**/*.yml are placed into that JSON without any sanitisation. An attacker who controls a Forestry-style project can therefore inject arbitrary JavaScript into the generated tina/templates.{ts,js} file. The injected code is written at module top level, so it executes the moment the developer runs tinacms dev or tinacms build, with the developer's privileges. This issue has been fixed in version 2.4.3.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/tinacms/tinacms/security/advisories/GHSA-4936-9hrh-qqpw","https://github.com/tinacms/tinacms/security/advisories/GHSA-4936-9hrh-qqpw"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:42:16.820116992+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54074","score":0.00251,"percentile":0.16483,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4936-9hrh-qqpw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4936-9hrh-qqpw","summary":"@tinacms/cli: Remote Code Execution in @tinacms/cli via Forestry migration — unsanitised __TINA_INTERNAL__ marker in user-controlled YAML labels","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:48.066863584Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@tinacms/cli","purl":"pkg:npm/%40tinacms/cli","ranges":["<2.4.3"],"fixed":["2.4.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
