Prior to 0.9.6, Open WebUI added collection-level ACL checks, but the patch can still be bypassed when Milvus multitenancy mode is enabled. The ACL allows unknown non-KB collection names as legacy/ephemeral collections. In Milvus multitenancy mode, that user-controlled collection name becomes a resource_id and is interpolated into a Milvus expression without escaping. This is caused by an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-44560 This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.6.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-862","CWE-943"],"references":["https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui/security/advisories/GHSA-p5cp-r7rg-qpxc","https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui/security/advisories/GHSA-p5cp-r7rg-qpxc"],"products":["openwebui:open_webui"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-54019","score":0.00386,"percentile":0.32645,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-p5cp-r7rg-qpxc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-p5cp-r7rg-qpxc","summary":"Open WebUI: RAG ACL Bypass in Milvus Multitenancy Mode","modified":"2026-07-20T21:15:24.541313418Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"open-webui","purl":"pkg:pypi/open-webui","ranges":["<0.9.6"],"fixed":["0.9.6"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2750","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2750","summary":"Open WebUI: RAG ACL Bypass in Milvus Multitenancy Mode","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:24.099087129Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"open-webui","purl":"pkg:pypi/open-webui","ranges":["<0.9.6"],"fixed":["0.9.6"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
