{"cve":"CVE-2026-53548","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-19T21:16:57.000","modified":"2026-09-09T21:15:59.613","status":"Deferred","description":"Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to 2.6.1, the GET /host/db/host/:id/password endpoint in src/backend/database/routes/host.ts accepts an authenticated user's numeric host ID and the field=password or field=sudoPassword query without enforcing host ownership during credential resolution. A failed requester-scoped lookup can resolve the host with the owner's context and return the owner's plaintext credential, allowing any authenticated user with a valid JWT to enumerate sequential hosts.id values and retrieve SSH or sudo passwords belonging to other users. The disclosed credentials can then be used to access and control managed systems outside the Termix instance. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.1.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":9.6},"cwes":["CWE-285","CWE-639"],"references":["https://github.com/Termix-SSH/Termix/commit/52f4e51ae03b5b8d2608e1383e2ccf79d290132b","https://github.com/Termix-SSH/Termix/pull/874","https://github.com/Termix-SSH/Termix/releases/tag/release-2.3.2-tag","https://github.com/Termix-SSH/Termix/security/advisories/GHSA-j6h8-mww6-pgw6","https://github.com/Termix-SSH/Termix/security/advisories/GHSA-j6h8-mww6-pgw6"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53548","score":0.00464,"percentile":0.40205,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
