When the rtlwifi card\nprobe fails or is being detached, the ieee80211_hw is deallocated.\nHowever, irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet may still be running or pending,\nleading to use-after-free when the freed ieee80211_hw is accessed\nin _rtl_pci_prepare_bcn_tasklet().\n\nSimilar to irq_tasklet, add tasklet_kill() in rtl_pci_deinit() to\nensure that irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet is properly terminated before\nthe ieee80211_hw is released.\n\nThe issue was identified through static analysis.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/008c456b76e9070979bc0e763897a5d3b0fdd4dc","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/039cd522dc70151da13329a5e3ae19b1736f468a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3c0e8a3179e6325a7dc6ce221aef0e03d854ab4b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7731b67bd59d1284d150cbe40a47e95a10613234","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aa10a452e34810987fb9f4a047995b30003fb53f"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53112","score":0.00171,"percentile":0.0646,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
