If the caller already owns the same mutex, both\nsides block and no progress is possible.\n\nThis deadlock can occur during station removal when\nmt76_sta_state() -> mt76_sta_remove() ->\nmt7925_mac_sta_remove_link() -> mt7925_mac_link_sta_remove() ->\nmt7925_roc_abort_sync() invokes cancel_work_sync() while\nroc_work() is still running and holding dev->mt76.mutex.\n\nThis avoids the mutex deadlock and preserves exactly-once\nwork ownership.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-667"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/153bcba36c87a1ba555b57b6c49028d5812f895b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/253cfc33d95ce4a30fd2eca0ff0138603c6c2fcc","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2d8e0053bca29143ace51e08c980ff076844a4b0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/dd08ca3f092f4185ece69ce2a835c23198b1628a"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53103","score":0.00125,"percentile":0.0218,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
