If the caller already owns the same mutex, both\nsides block and no progress is possible.\n\nThis deadlock can occur during station removal when\nmt76_sta_state() -> mt76_sta_remove() -> mt7921_mac_sta_remove() ->\nmt7921_roc_abort_sync() invokes cancel_work_sync() while\nroc_work() is still running and holding dev->mt76.mutex.\n\nThis avoids the mutex deadlock and preserves exactly-once\nwork ownership.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-667"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/35180c772f5e11e2fa4d80d3dfd50906cb6d9646","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/91e77840bf13de3add125060cf8b32ca24a52c8c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b4faaa617af3f4173e64169b0ec1af8f9c5bca10","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d5059e52fd8bc624ec4255c9fa01a266513d126b"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53101","score":0.00125,"percentile":0.02175,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
